The Negotiating Committee met with the company on 12-14 and 12-17-09 to exchange and discuss proposals. We broke for the holidays and will reconvene after the first of next year.
Like in the last negotiations, the Local needs your support for the Strategic Planning and Strike Committees. The first meeting will be held at 5:00 P.M. on January 7, 2010 at UAW 1183 at 698 Old Baltimore Pike Newark, DE. 19711 so please call 302-683-0660 or e-mail the Union Hall at lu1238@aol.com to volunteer.
Lastly, there are still members who have not signed up for our e-mail list!!! Therefore, please sign up on the Local Union #1238 website at http://www.ibew1238.org and encourage everyone to do so as this will be our main source of communications throughout negotiations.
